第０回②「Dead or Alive」

　こんな発言をアメリカ大統領は言った。「死んでようが生きてようが・・・」。９月１１日、午前８時４５分。アメリカは悪夢を目の当たりにした。決してあってはならないことが、テレビという情報媒体によって全世界に逐一報告されていた。
　そして、実行者壊滅への期待が高まった。ひとりの人間として、理解できない感情ではない。しかし、暴力への暴力はより一層の憎悪を生む。
　貧富の差は資本主義社会においては生ずることを避けられない。では、それでいいのであろうか。何か解決策を模索しなくてはならないのでは。それを怠った結果というと、語弊があるかも知れないがそう考えてもおかしくはないと考える。
　着々と「テロリズムへの報復」が進められている報道がなされるが、あまり警鐘をならすような報道がなされていないのは危険なことではないであろうか。なぜなら、日本国憲法の下で生活をしている日本国民が世界に対してより警鐘を鳴らすべきではないであろうか。
　ある報道によると米国海兵隊の兵士に「遺書」を家族宛に書くよう命令があったそうだ。日本もかつてあった・・・特別攻撃隊、いわゆる特攻隊。二度と日本で、いや世界であってはならないこと。祖国のために命を懸けること、英雄ではないか！と言う考えは、民主主義の根本を否定するものである。国民から働きかけるのではない。国が国民を衛るべきである。そして、軍隊にいる兵士も一国民なのである。
　今回の事件は許せる行為ではない。しかし、それを解決するのに同じ手段を使うのはまさしく「無理が通って、道理通らず」ではないであろうか。
